Defender 22 Open Bow

A Premium Aluminum Boat Built for All-Season Adventures

The Defender 22 Series

The ultimate aluminum boat for coastal exploring, fishing, and all-weather recreation.

Designed and hand-crafted on the Pacific Northwest coastline, Jasper Marine’s Defender 22 series delivers exceptional stability, dependable performance that adapts to any adventure.

If you’re searching for a reliable, ocean-capable aluminum boat with the build quality of a premium vessel, the Defender 22 is your perfect fit, coming in two configurations:

The Open Bow & The Storm Bow

Interior view of a boat with a seating area featuring brown leather cushioned seats, large windows showing the ocean and distant mountains with a blue sky, and some modern marine fixtures.
Top-down view of a Defender 22 open bow with a brown cushioned sitting area and a mounted Garmin satellite.
View from inside of the Defender 22 open bow looking out over calm water with mountains in the distance and a partly cloudy sky.
A Defender 22 pulled up and anchored at a rocky shoreline with trees on the left and water extending into the distance under a cloudy sky.

Walk-Through Cabin with Full-Height Front Door

The open bow configuration is built with a full-height door at the front of the cabin. No climbing around the cabin to access the front of the boat, or squeezing through hatches.

It makes moving around the boat easy and safe, especially when you’re carrying gear or helping kids in and out. And when you beach the boat, you can hop straight out of the bow and onto shore.

Simple. Practical. Smart.

Comfortable, Roomy Bow Seating

Up front, you’ll find diamond-stitched marine vinyl seating with plenty of space to stretch out.

  • Lounge seating

  • Comfortable outdoor social space

  • Easy access in and out

It’s a great spot to relax while cruising or to sit and enjoy the view when you’re anchored. The layout feels open and usable.

Smart Storage Where You Need It

There’s generous storage under the bow seat cushions, giving you space to stash:

  • Life jackets

  • Lines and fenders

  • Duffle bags and backpacks

  • Portable head

Everything has a place, so the deck stays clean and uncluttered.

Self-Bailing Open Cockpit

The open cockpit is self-bailing, so water drains out on its own.

If you’re caught in weather, rinsing down after a day of fishing, or coming off the beach, you don’t have to worry, any water in the forward cockpit drains straight overboard through its own dedicated scuppers.

It’s one less thing to think about, and that matters when you’re focused on enjoying the day.

The big difference of how this boat compares to other boats I’ve had... Is it’s very dry, even in heavy seas.
